Most Disliked
While The Carolina Kitchen offers a delightful menu, some visitors express that the limited seating can become a challenge during peak times, making waits for tables a common occurrence. The busiest times, especially on weekends, can lead to a crowded atmosphere, which some may find overwhelming.
Another point of contention is the lack of table service. This fast-casual format might not appeal to those seeking a sit-down dining experience with full waiter service. Some diners miss having a more traditional atmosphere, appreciating the cuisine but feeling the service model could be different. It’s essential to arrive outside peak hours for a more relaxed experience, especially if you prefer to unwind with family or friends.

Me and my friend went on a Friday and we both got the sweet firecracker shrimp, with collard greens, yams and mac as our sides! There wasn’t a line at all. The cashier that rang our food up was very sweet and kind and spoke with us about the different specialty drinks they had! The food was very good and seasoned well! My friend and I sat down to eat our food and catch up, and shortly the manager came out and spoke with us. Very kind interaction and loved the atmosphere! It’s my third/fourth time going there, but it was my friend’s first time and she said she will be back! I will be getting the sweet firecracker shrimp again, it may be a new favorite of mine!

My family and I have loved Carolina Kitchen for some years now! It’s great to see one in the Baltimore area! The location in Owings Mills is beautiful! The ribs are so tender that they fall off the bone, the Mac and Cheese and greens are out of this world, the fried chicken is so light and crispy! You will not be disappointed!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

After a Blessed day at church today, I was further Blessed meeting with a girlfriend of mine at The Carolina Kitchen in Owings Mills, MD. Thank you Mr. Robinson (owner) for Blessing my day. If someone is reading this review and you're in town, please shower this place with your positivity and love for food because the food is AMAZING! I had the meatloaf platter, while my girlfriend had the fish and shirmp platter (enjoy the pictures provided). The portion size for the sides was above my wildest dreams and the taste of the food will have your eyes rolling back in your head. I commend Mr. Robinson for not just going around to all customers to ensure enjoyment is being had by all, but also genuinely making sure you're enjoying the food. This restaurant is by far the best restaurant I've enjoyed in a long time. The vibe will have you nodding your head and singing to the enjoyable music, then get excited to be greeted by a very gracious and welcoming staff. Once you sink into your seat and enjoy a very clean and appealing restaurant, you'll also say this restaurant is a great place to unwind, dine, and hear a tune that rocks your world to go along with the food that will make you plan your next visit before you leave. I hope to taste the various dishes throughout the year, stay tuned...

From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for something special. The warm, welcoming atmosphere set the tone, but it was the food that truly stole the show. Every bite tasted like it had been made with love and tradition. The fried chicken was perfectly seasoned with a crispy, golden crust and juicy meat inside—easily some of the best I’ve ever had. The collard greens were flavorful with just the right touch of smokiness, and the mac and cheese was rich, creamy, and baked to perfection. Don’t even get me started on the cornbread—sweet, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth good. The service was just as outstanding. Friendly, attentive staff made me feel like family, and the food came out hot and fresh without a long wait. If you're craving real-deal soul food that nourishes both body and spirit, this place is a must. I’ll definitely be coming back—and bringing friends with me!

Everyone was so nice the entire experience and food was perfect. Ribs fell off the bone and the sauce was amazing I would buy bottles of it. Mac and cheese was great and the candied yams were AMAZING. Pricey but worth it in terms of portions and quality of the food. Only took a star off for atmosphere because it’s a little overwhelming inside but the food is worth it 100%. Very rich and flavorful
